INTEGRATIVE CANCER SUPPORT
One of the most important things you can do to help your fight against cancer is to regain as much control as you feel you are able to handle.
The focus of our integrative cancer support programme (also known as integrative oncology) is to improve results of conventional treatment (e.g. radiation, chemotherapy, immunotherapy) by improving diet, using a strategic supplement programme and complementary therapies (acupuncture, meditation, reflexology)
By taking an integrative approach, the whole body is supported whilst undergoing medical treatments and research shows how this positively impacts treatment outcomes and better protects against what can be debilitating side effects.
The Bertram Clinic’s Integrative Cancer Support Programme is a nutrition-based multi-step approach, based upon Gillian’s personal experience of using nutrition and lifestyle interventions alongside standard cancer treatments to overcome her diagnosis of malignant brain cancer.
What to expect
Integrative cancer care is personalised care. Gillian’s approach uses one-on-one appointments, in depth analysis and advanced testing to help you uncover your imbalances which may be holding you back from achieving vibrant health.
Gillian encourages you to take control of your healthcare decisions, take an active role in the decision making of the treatments you undergo, and is there to empower you with knowledge so that you can feel confident that you are doing everything in your power to support yourself to live a long and healthy life.
Through her experience, Gillian truly believes that this approach can improve your chances of survival in three main ways:
• You can make better treatment choices – this means choices that are best for you, your body and your circumstances.
• You can achieve better results.
• You have the opportunity to gain an inner source of strength and courage as well as a psychological edge.
Who can benefit?
Wherever you you are in your journey with cancer, it is never too late to start using nutrition and lifestyle medicine to improve your quality of life and well-being.
Almost everyone at any stage in life can benefit from this programme, but especially if:
- You’ve just been diagnosed with cancer.
- You are undergoing cancer treatment.
- You have had treatment but are experiencing a recurrence of cancer.
- You have been told there are no other treatment options available for you.
- You are in remission and wish to prevent recurrence and continue to live a long and healthy life without fear of recurrence.
