ABOUT GILLIAN BERTRAM
Gillian is a Registered Nutritional Therapist, Functional Medicine Practitioner and Integrative Health Coach, as well as a survivor of Grade 3 brain cancer.
Thanks to her own personal experience with cancer, Gillian is passionate about supporting people with cancer who wish to integrate complementary therapies alongside standard cancer care. After four years of study at The Institute for Optimum Nutrition in London, and apprenticeships with integrative medical doctors, Gillian founded The Bertram Clinic of Nutrition.
My mission is to help people integrate their medical care with nutrition and lifestyle choices – to complement their care and not interfere with it. My goal is to become an integral part of their care team.
Gillian’s integrative approach to health pulls together therapeutic nutrition, lifestyle and mindset medicine and mitochondrial optimisation therapy to help restore the body’s innate ability to heal. The core of Gillian’s approach aims to remove risk factors and to create an inhospitable environment for disease to develop. Gillian is committed to working alongside your medical team to compliment your treatments, not replace them.
“Gillian’s personal experience in overcoming cancer gives her a unique perspective rooted in experience and practical understanding of life as a long term patient. Her practise recognises the body as an interconnected system and focuses on finding the root cause of illness and disease whilst optimising a person’s health and well-being.”
