Gillian Bertram is a registered Nutritional Therapist and Integrative Health Coach, having recovered from anaplastic astrocytoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer in 2015.
Following successful removal of the tumour, she followed her oncologists advice to undergo radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Alongside these treatments, she introduced radical changes to her diet and lifestyle, forging an integrative approach to her cancer care.
For Gillian, it made sense to her to remove as much guesswork as possible when it came to her recovery. She based her protocol on her own biochemistry and genomics, learning how to unburden her system by supporting her elimination and detoxification systems, without forgetting the integral role that mindset and emotional health plays in healing.
Empowered by the knowledge she gained through this process and with her passion to help others, Gillian went on to study for four years at the prestigious Institute for Optimum Nutrition and opened The Bertram Clinic of Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine in 2020.
What is Integrative Healthcare?
I like to think of it as a Best of Both Worlds approach to our health.

Integrative medicine combines the best of conventional and complementary health care.
Wherever you are in your health journey, taking an integrative approach means looking beyond your diagnosis to investigate all the possible root causes behind why you developed a health condition in the first place.
By giving the body what it needs, we allow the body to heal itself.
“I believe it is never too late to start using nutrition and lifestyle medicine to improve your quality of life and well-being.“
