Throughout Gilly’s journey with cancer, from the moment she found out she had a brain tumour, to undergoing brain surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, she was committed to shifting everything in her inner and outer environment to anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogenic (cancer causing).
Gilly began searching high and low for products which: would not cause any microscopic cancer cells to grow; would nurture healthy cells and the immune system; reduce any unwanted side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy naturally. But despite finding healthy looking labels and beautifully packaged eco-friendly products in health food stores, Gilly found that a lot of these products had hidden ingredients which could promote conditions within the body that were favourable to cancer cells – such as, pseudo healthy ingredients which spike blood sugar (causing inflammation – the root of all chronic disease!) or they would contain hormone-disrupting chemicals disguised as harmless natural ingredients.
Gilly dreamed of a store in which she and the many others with cancer and other chronic illnesses could rely on for truly safe, non-toxic and health-promoting products which would encourage a state of health and vitality and not one of dis-ease.
